Prospects after DJAM

Na het succesvol afsluiten van DJAM-niveau gevorderd krijg je van ons een getuigschrift uitgereikt met daarop de resultaten vermeld van alle praktische en muziek-theoretische vakken die je op DJAM gevolgd hebt. Met dit getuigschrift willen we aangeven dat we je geschikt vinden om op hoog muzikaal niveau op eigen benen te staan.

Hoewel we natuurlijk geen garanties kunnen geven voor het behalen van studieplaatsen of certificaten op andere instituten willen we hieronder wel kort twee belangrijke mogelijkheden toelichten.

Vakexamens Lichte Muziek

If your ambition is to take the Vakexamen Lichte Muziek, then you can count on DJAM to give you guidance with this goal in mind.

When a student passes the advanced level at DJAM, it means that we consider him/her to have a proper basis to pass these exams in the same courses. Given the amount and diversity of materials concerning the exams be prepared to take some extra lessons, though.

At DJAM you can get tuition in all the for the exams necessary subjects with the exception of didactics and history of music.

Entering a Conservatory
If you plan to take the entrance examination for a conservatory, then you should be qualified, in terms of music theory, after completing level 2. The exam also depends on your level of your instrument. Regarding your playing ability, you can count on responsible guidance from your DJAM main subject teachers.

Een grote rol speelt ook het conservatorium waar je toelatingsexamen bij doet. Sommige instituten leggen de lat hoger dan andere. Ook door fusies en/of bezuinigingen bij verschillende instituten of door wetswijzigingen bij de overheid kan het aantal toegelaten studenten, soms per cursusjaar, variëren.
